JKC has a degree in Jewelry + Metalwork, but after moving to New York City in 2013, she quickly realized that studio space in Manhattan was quite limited. Shortly thereafter, she began designing invitations in digital format but missed using her hands to paint on paper, so she merged the mediums. 

Today, JKC designs custom works for individual clients, brands, companies and events. She modifies her process from project to project but prefers to mix drawing + painting with graphic design + typeface to create a unique piece of artwork unlike any other.  

Collaboration and individualization are key components of each one of JKC’s works. Personal taste varies, which is why JKC gets to know her clients before she begins work. Once the two visions align, she can begin creating the custom design.
